"GROW
YOUR OWN" NITROGEN
By renewing the life in your soil you can
reduce the need for applied nitrogen by as much as $25 per acre on corn, according to
a ten-year study by the University of Iowa.
For example, corn may need 1.23 lbs. of N per
bushel of yield, but that doesn't mean you have to “buy” it all. You can "grow" more of
it by enlisting soil micro life to accelerate conversion of last year's crop residue for
this year's nitrate N release.

MORE
TILLERS FOR HIGHER YIELD
Phoenix Technologies Crop Consultant Gary
Shafer has found in his research that adding an additional 1 to 4 oz. foliar
application of PS-Foundation 1-0-1 at jointing helps to increase tillering and improve
potential head size in winter wheat.
ORGANIC
MATTER, MATTERS.
Increasing organic matter as little as
1.5% can increase your soil's capacity to hold water and nutrients as much as 14%,
depending on your soil type.

SAVE 2"
AND GAIN 20 BUSHELS
Making just two additional inches
of moisture available during the growing season can increase:
-
Corn yields by 20.8 bushels
per acre
-
Wheat yields by 12.6 bushels
per acre
-
Soybean yields by 10.7 bushels
per acre
-
Cottonseed by 7.1 bushels
per acre
